Recommendations
1 UNDP has significant resources available and there are now some significant opportunities for intervention where UNDP assistance can have a real impact. UNDP needs to respond rapidly and immediately to these opportunities but at the same time to lay the foundations for a long term commitment to the recovery of Maluku. This should entail strategic interventions, whereby UNDP can catalyse other actors and where UNDP can add quality to other programmes to ensure maximum impact. The existing programme document ?North Maluku and Maluku Recovery Programme? provides a suitable framework for the medium term recovery needs of Maluku, and this document should guide future actions.
