Based on the consultations with the Regional Technical Advisers on Protected Areas related projects, the project team decided to re-schedule mid-term evaluations for the February/March period, when they were originally and as per prodoc envisaged. The consultations were based on the fact that the 3 major strategic results of the project will be undergoing most crucial part of implementation in the period until February and stand to gain most from a thorough evaluation. These activities include: a) roll out of the Master?s Program on Protected Areas and Regional Development; b) feasibility study on rolling out payment for ecosystem services in the Skadar Lake National Park (water supply); c) preparation of the comprehensive, 5-year National Financial Plan for protected areas; and d) proclamation/feasibility study for the Regional park Komovi.
