1

Finalize on-going activities as relevant to the 4 outputs.

2

Verify the opportunity to implement a project second phase in the light of consolidation and sustainability.

3

Discuss with local partners/stakeholders, possibly in the context of the project board meeting, a project second phase and build a consensus.

4

Design a country based/multi-country project II phase with a participatory approach.

5

Conduct fundraising and secure funding for project second phase.

6

Reinforce management at field level, including one project manager and one project assistant referring directly to higher management level and relevant technique expertise from UNV HQs.

7

Reconsider the composition of national advisory committees (NAC) at country level to include fewer members and to operate as steering committees, thereby providing strategic guidance on the course of the project and allowing for relevant revisions, as opportune.

8

Explore regional collaboration with the provisions of MoU signed between UNV and the Arab Federation for Voluntary Activities (AFVA) under the patronage of the League of Arab States, and look at opportunities in relation to the establishment of the Arab Youth Observatory.

Accordingly, the AYVBF project has arranged to publish the Volunteers' success stories in a booklet and video. August 2017: The Arab Youth Project did not continue with a second phase. A similar project, Future Makers, is currently under implementation. A final report on project results is not available. [Added: 2016/12/28] [Last Updated: 2017/08/11]
Project/Arab States Portfolio in collaboration with Volunteer Resource and Recruitment Section (VRRS) 2015/12 Completed The resource mobilization strategy is drafted and now is being vetted. This task has been transferred to the PT9 due to the shortening of project lifetime and related activities. August 2017: The Arab Youth project was not continued for a second phase. However, the similar project, Future Makers is currently on-going. It is jointly funded by UNDP and UNV and implemented by UNDP. In addition, the UNV SF Evaluation makes recommendations related to development of resource mobilization strategies. Therefore, more overarching resource mobilization issues will be addressed through the implementation of that recommendation.
