PMU 2020/03 Completed A workshop has been conducted in February 2020 with collaboration of the Energy Regulatory Agency "EgyptERA" in the presence of 14 participants representing national banks and financial institutions. The aim of this workshop was to facilitate the financial mechanisms by demonstrating the current & legal terms of the renewable energy market and discussing the challenges. A Webinar has been conducted: • Egypt Solar Market amid Covid-19 Challenges and Opportunities – Online Webinar 11th May 2020: With the participation of the Chairman of New and Renewable energy Authority, representatives of PV companies, national banks, international financial institutions and 170 participants, Egypt-PV online webinar was held addressing Egypt Solar Market amid Covid-19 Challenges and Opportunities with key speakers focused on the finacial mechanisms and tools for the PV market. PMU 2020/03 Completed A contract has been awarded for developing PV Hub with an objective of designing and developing web-based hub and associated database for small and medium scale of decentralized grid-connected PV system. The Hub will provide useful information for clients to support implementation of PV projects. Meanwhile, the platform allows PV installer companies, certified by New and Renewable Energy Authority (NREA), to submit installation requests to distribution companies and to follow up the requests electronically.
