There is a foreseen risk that COVID-19 and locust invasion will lead to scarcity of resources in the region thereby resulting to re-emergence of conflict. A mitigation plan will be developed in advance to reduce the impact of the risk.

Revision of the Project Log-frame

The project team (Both at Kenya Country office and Ethiopia) will revise the project log-frame putting into consideration the current emerging issues e.g., COVID 19 and locust invasion. This will make the indicators and targets to be responsive to the present situation.

Extensively involve the local civil society organizations (CSOs):

Partially accept. The involvement of CSOs is key as they reach all areas of the county. However, since these was not incorporated in the initial plan/Project Document, UNDP will involve them as collaborating partners and not implementing partners.
