Recommendations-2006 · There is the need to look more at the sub-regional ramifications of Small Arms Management in Liberia. Indeed, this Evaluation will strongly recommend close partnership among National Commissions on Small Arms with countries in the region with common borders. There is, indeed, the danger that monitoring small arms in Liberia may not achieve much, if the borders are porous. The Liberia National Commission on Small Arms (LiNCSA) is in close contact with other National Commissions on Small Arms (NATCOMs) in the sub-region. We have organised two cross-border meeting with Sierra Leone, which brought participants from Government agencies, chiefs, and civil society including the media to dialogue on joint activity proposal. Currently, there is a draft joint activity plan for the Mano River Union (MRU) plus Cote d'Ivoire.
