This recommendation has been shared with BAPPENAS on which they agree to make the role of the Secretariat more effective and sustainable. In order to enhance its function, the Strategic Coordination Team on Access to Justice comprising BAPPENAS, Ministry of Law and Human Rights, the Cabinet Secretariat and the Ministry of Interior has just been established through the BAPPENAS minister?s decree. the decree also prescribed clearer functions of the Secretariat. Furthermore, in order to enhance government ownership and attract more supports from development partners to functioning of the A2J secretariat, the Project will gradually detach the Secretariat from being managed under the SAJI team and will be placed back under full auspice of BAPPENAS and operated by the government hired staffs. As a transitional measure, SAJI will build a separate team to continue serve the secretariat and will directly report to and work under the close guidance of the BAPPENAS. For the legal cover of NSA2J, the SAJI team has been in process of revising the current NSA2J document as to make it adhered to the government format for the presidential regulation.
