This was also the project?s plan. The Project supported the establishment and operation at early stage of the VECEA. The recommendation was highlighted at relevant dialogues with the government.

Various consultations and meeting between MOST, MOIT and UNDP were conducted to link project results/activities to the National Target Programme for EC (VNEEP) and number of activities have been undertaken.

3.1 Project/MOST provided project results to and contributed to the final evaluation of the VNEEP phase I and the formulation of the VNEEP Phase II.

4.1 Following the approval of the Prime Minister, the LGF has been properly transferred to MOST for continued management and operation. The transfer ceremony was organized on 30Jun11
4.2. A revised operation regulations for the LGF was issued by MOST on 18th May 2011(Circular No 06/2011/TT-BKHCN), including guidelines on selection and approval of EC&EE projects.
4.3 A revised entrusted contract between MOSTE and VIETINBANK was sign early of July 2011, continue entrust VIETINBAK as a trustee of the LGF.
4.4 More project workshops on LGF introduction to ceramic SMEs in Binh Duong province organized in June 2011

There is no need for official extension of the project as most of the activities have been completed. Some activities that have been at completion stage will continue and will complete by 30 September 2011. As such, it has been decided that the project was operationally closed on 30 June 2011.
