Recommendation: Propose a path forward for Liberia to mainstream the highest priority SMC issues in our country?s development planning processes and plan and prepare a strategic national document, which will express Government commitment towards the implementation of environmentally sound chemicals management and SAICM?s Global Plan of Action

The reports are being produce and will form part of National Adaptation Plan that will address most of Liberia?s sound chemical needs.

At present key recommendations and other low hanging fruits have not been financed nor even ear marked for implementation by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)

The three documents produced by this project have been circulated to all stakeholders and uploaded to UNDP?s website for ease of reference. 2013/10 Overdue-Initiated It is important for the donors to support Liberia to have a well established Sound Management of Chemicals program. This is not in place.
4. Recommendation: Ensure that the project produce a comprehensive reader friendly documents especially the National Situation Report on the Sound Management of Chemicals and the Mainstreaming Road Map and Plan of Action Document as mentioned in the project document.

This is a major achievement for this project to produce three important documents that address Sound Management of Chemicals in Liberia.
