3.1 Package and widely share the benefits of building codes that enable and advocate for energy efficiency in buildings. 3.2 The information in 3.1 must be packaged appropriately and shared with the minister, deputy minister, PS, relevant Under Secretary and directors of MME, MWT, MET and MoHSS. This will facilitate building knowledge and understanding about the rationale and social and economic benefits of energy efficient buildings. E.g. ? projecting potential energy costs to govt. at present vs. cost of energy for e-efficient buildings ? and demonstrate potential health and safety hazards if codes are not revised. 3.3 Following the above, arrange a high level dialogue between the MME and MWT, including other key partners in the construction sector in view of reaching agreement to review and revise current building codes. Such a meeting can start with a brief presentation about benefits of energy efficient buildings, a tentative process outline for reviewing/ revising the codes, and what a desired outcome could be.
