PCU SEMARNAT UNDP 2020/03 Completed The Annual Work Programme and Procurement Plan were prepared with activities scheduled for completion by the end of 2021. Both documents were reviewed and approved at the Project Board meeting held on November 20 2019, after their comments and recommendations were addressed. SEMARNAT prepared, supported by PCU, the request for an extension of the project completion date, which was sent to the Country Office on March 30. On April 1, the UNDP Resident Representative confirmed the corresponding procedures initiated with the Donor, both through the Regional Office in Panama and at Headquarters in New York, to manage the extension for up to 18 months. On May 12 2020, confirmation of approval of the project extension to April 1, 2020, was received. The primary condition of the extension is to ensure that the management costs approved initially cannot be exceeded by the total project amount. Hence, the PCU needs to be more strategic and agile to integrate the work packages that reduce the number of administrative operations. History
