Summary
The primary lesson to be learned from the implementation of this project is really very simple:
read the Project Document carefully and adhere to the methodology described therein.
Other more specific lessons are as follows:
It is a mistake to assume that personnel recruited for a particular job will have all of
the necessary skills simply because these are specified in the TOR for the position.
Multi-disciplinary projects are best implemented by a multi-disciplinary work force.
Project management is an essential skill for most managers, which would be best
acquired through some form of formal training.
Participation in a committee does not necessarily impart ownership.
