This is the first Assessment of Development Results (ADR) conducted in El Salvador. The assessment examines relevance and strategic positioning of UNDP support and its contributions to the country?s development from 2002-2010. The evaluation concludes that UNDP El Salvador is recognized for its substantive capacity and its positive contribution toward different thematic areas which constitute country's development agenda. UNDP contribution in the area of ??democratic governance receives a special recognition. However, operational constraints may undermine UNDP?s ability to achieve results. UNDP El Salvador has undertaken several initiatives, both administrative and substantive, to strengthen its internal capacity. The evaluation supports these efforts.
