Lessons

This outcome relates to teh previous CPD and by then UNDP had learned not to have an outcome dedicated solely to the poor as such indicators do not exist and are thus difficult to reprot on.  A lesson was indeed learned during the formulation of CPD 2012-2016.

The evaluation noted partner?s recognition that the greatest benefit to the Kingdom derived from access to advisory and capacity development services, provision of expert advice, the development of training frameworks and exchanges to tap global best practices, and the provision of access to relevant UN specialized agencies to efficiently source assistance.

Concur with evaluation that there was great value derived from Outcome 2 alignment with national development plan goals to optimize the benefits of globalization by improving the productivity of the economy, diversifying its base especially into R&D and strengthening its competitiveness.

Concur with evaluation that positive results were had from aligning the national goal of ?optimizing the benefits of globalization? to UNDPs corporate objective of Globalization benefiting the poor. Also concur with the evaluation finding that the cooperation helped increase FDI and expansion of tourism, contributing to job creation and improvement of human development status.
