1 Need to strengthen the structure - cabinet, technical gender committee and gender focal point networks to translate high political commitment into actual gender mainstreaming in the development process.
2 Need to improve a capacity of women's Bureau staff in UNDP project implementation
3 Conduct further sensitization on the Women's Act and Gender Policy.
4 Strengthen existing regional gender offices and establish offices in the two remaining regions.
5 UN system in the country needs to coordinate their support to gender mainstreaming and empowerment efforts of the government of the Gambia.
6 UNDP should also support downstream intervention to effectively impact women at the grassroots in support of upstream activities.
