Outcome 4 evaluation on "Governance and Rule of Law"

Outcome 4 evaluation on "Governance and Rule of Law"

Cancelled
Justification: At the time of CPD formulation, three outcome evaluations were planned to be conducted in 2021. However, following the OAI Audit in early 2020, UNDP Nepal undertook a mid-term review (MTR) of its CPD. This was completed in December 2020 and it is deemed to have adequately and sufficiently covered all the three CPD outcomes. In addition, IEO informed the Nepal office that an ICPE will be conducted in 2021, preparations for which are actively under way. The ICPE is expected to cover the three outcome areas adequately. Moreover, based on the revised evaluation guidelines, CO has been conducting the project evaluations relevant to the three outcome areas. Therefore, it is the CO’s considered judgement that the planned outcome evaluations, preparation for which have not started, will not add value at this time. The CO would like to cancel these three planned outcome evaluations and focus on successful completion of the ICPE and planned project evaluations.
