Recommendations
Mechanisms for coordination and sharing information on Disaster Risk Reduction and Disaster Risk Management should continue to be strengthened at SADC and national platforms level
In future, projects of this nature should take into account sustainability in order to cover the largest number possible of national and international organisations
There should be an effort made for more dissemination of the tools created by the project, as well as to investigate possibilities for training workers from different organisation and institutions involved in use of the tools ( example, use of the emergency radio communication guides and the rapid assessment guides)
The virtual library/website should be maintained as an interactive means of knowledge sharing on good practices in the area of risk management
In the future, interventions and information sharing could take place at different levels- one level being the policy and strategy makers and the other level implementers of activities at the field level.
